Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette [First Impressions | Swatches | Review]

I was so stoked when I got this Urban Decay Vice 3 palette for Christmas from by brother and sister in law because: 1) it's a limited edition Urban Decay palette, and 2) it is one of their latest [if not the latest] palette.

So first of all, the Vice 3 palette comes in this handy makeup pouch - where you can store your palette [yes it is has metallic case so fingerprints galore] or you can use it however you fancy. You also get a double sided brush.

The packaging is jaw-dropping beautiful!

It also comes with a huge mirror [same size as the palette] which falls open at the exact right angle - so no leaning your palette against something if you use this mirror to apply your makeup.

In the Vice 3 palette you get 20 shadows, all of which are brand spanking new. Hey ho!

You get a selection of neutrals, jewel tones, and smokey shades, all perfectly arranged for easier colour matching and application.

You get mostly warm toned, shimmery/metallic shades, with a couple of matte ones too. However, in the pan, the matte ones look like they have a slight shimmer - although it applies/looks matte when used.

All of the shades are beautifully pigmented, but some of them produce a lot [a lotttt!] of fallout - something which was unfamiliar to me with UD. These are less densely packed in the pan than other UD palettes and so I feel as if I'm wasting huge amounts of eyeshadow in the process, especially when used with a fluffy brush.

These though blend beautifully and seamlessly [they are extremely soft!]

They do last 8+ hours before starting to crease and fade.

Beware: The below photos really don't do justice to the utter beauty of these eyeshadows [and it was quite dark when I swatched them]

This has quickly become my most used palette - especially the neutral shades in the first column which are perfect to use on their own for daytime looks, or to blend the stronger, darker colours. I also really really really love the shades Lucky, Bondage and Defy. Some of the shades in this palette are so unique - so it must be a real task to try and find a drug store dupe for these.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Dr. Organic | Organic Virgin Coconut Monoi Moisture Melt Body Oil [Review]

I've always wanted to try out coconut oil instead of regular  treatment for hair, and when I was invited to the first Dr. Organic beauty bloggers event, I didn't hesitate in getting this Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Monoi Moisture Melt Body Oil

Like other coconut oils [pure ones, I mean] this is solid at room temperature, so you must run this under warm water, or else place it with you in your bath or a sink [and watch it magically transform into a delicious smelling liquid]

Of course, like other Dr. Organic products, this Coconut Oil is 100% pure and free from an nasty ingredients. [and smells lovely too!]

You can use this on your body, on your hands [and fingernails!] and hair.

So I use this mostly on my hair: I comb my hair, then I section it and slather this on [and hey presto! you get an early 90s wet look hihi]. I like to wrap it with a warm towel and leave it on for the better part of the day. Then I shampoo my hair three times [yes, just in case!] and condition as usual. Honestly, I can feel my hair thanking me when I do this! [which I try to do at least twice a month]

You can also use this Organic Virgin Coconut Monoi Moisture Melt Body Oil on your fingernails [just rub it in] or on your body as a moisturiser after you've bathed.

Or you can use it as a massage oil *wink wink*

I've also used this on my eczema and it works really well at moisturising any dry bits.

This Dr. Organic product was a runner up in the 2014 Beauty Oscars and also the Beauty Insiders' Choice 2013 winner.

And yes, it is my most favourite Dr. Organic product.

It costs €9.80* and for my fellow Maltese, you can get this and other Dr. Organic products from selected outlets!

Much love,
