Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer [Review]

I've been a fan of Korean concealers ever since I tried the TonyMoly Baby Doll concealer range [check out my reviews HERE and HERE], so when I came across a review for this Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer, [and it's promise to give full coverage] I decided to give it a go.

You can get yours from HERE or HERE

Like the majority of Korean products, this concealer only comes in 2 shades: Light Beige and Natural Beige. Mine is in Light Beige [but I wish I had gotten the other one]

To start from the beginning: this concealer claims to be waterproof [and sweatproof]. It also has Rose Hip oil in it.

First of all I have to say that you get a lot of product [25ml] - this is undoubtedly the biggest concealer I own.

Although it states that it is liquid - this has more of a creamy formula. You also need the tiniest, tiniest amount of product [half the size of a pea]. Better to layer this than to attempt to conceal everything all at once. Due to its thick property, this could easily end up looking cakey.

I find that this is also best applied using my fingers - the warmth of my skin seems to give a more even application rather than when applied with a brush.

For this reason, I think that this works best when it is set with powder. I find that due to its creamy nature, this does tend to settle in fine lines.

I applied waaaayyyy too much concealer here
Very lightly blended

The finish of this is rather dewy. It also needs some time to set properly.

I also think that one, thin application of this does not give 'proper' full coverage. However, this can be easily layered to achieve higher coverage.

Also, while I've never been swimming in this one so I can't really vouch for the waterproof claim, I can say that this is definitely sweat proof, especially when it is set with a good powder.

Lightly blended (heavy swatch)

For those of you with dry skin, I think that it would be best if you properly moisturised before applying this product [even though it contains Rose Hip oil]

And for those of you who suffer from acne, pimples or scars [it does cancel out redness]. I honestly believe that you should try this Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer out.

Hope this helped!

EBay Me Now Generation II Long Lasting Lip Gloss | Liquid Lip Cream | Matte Lip Stick [Review]

A while ago a fellow [really lovely!] Maltese blogger & vlogger Dyna posted about these liquid Lime Crime Velvetine dupes which comes at the fraction of the cost [and she loved them].

And when I say cheap, they are super cheap. And they looked lovely.

So what would any other make up enthusiast do? Of course. I went ahead and bought 8 of them [although if I'm not mistaken there are about 38]

And you know how liquid lip lacquers are so in at the moment - and I've tried my fair share of them. So my question was: how do these Ebay ones fair up to the more expensive ones?

But first, ah yes - the price.

These cost only from $1.00 - $1.50 including shipping.

Get yours from HERE or HERE

All of these Ebay Me Now Generation liquid lipsticks [they call them lipglosses, but they are anything but glossy] come in really simple and plain plastic tubes with a doe foot applicator. The applicator is really handy for applying them [and yes, you have to be rather precise when applying any sort of liquid matte finish lipsticks]

They comes in different shades and finishes - from matte, to duo chromatic, to frosty. Mine are all matte except 1 of them which verges on the duo chromatic side. There are pinks, nudes, oranges, corals and reds. So I'm sure that you'll find your shade.

Photo taken in natural lighting while they were still all wet

Unlike some other liquid matte lipsticks, these Ebay Me Now Generation ones appear to be more runny and more on the thin side. I prefer them to be this way because they give a slightly more natural looking finish and not caked up look. [Check out my review with swatches of the Makeup Revolution ones as comparison: HERE]

They are not streaky at all [however, not all of them dry the same - you'll see what I mean when you'll see the swatches below - eg. shades #37 and #38 were streakier and gave less coverage than the rest. Most of them are super super pigmented.

It's best if you apply a thin layer of these so that they'll dry off uniformly [or else they'll end up not drying in the middle of your lips and it'll end up flaking on you - if that happens though you can easily patch them up]

They do not cling to dry bits on your lips. They also do not make your lips look dry [or feel drier for that matter] Love love love.

Some of them still feel kind of wet [even once dry]. Oh, and they dry fairly quickly. Just be sure that you leave your lips parted while they dry.

They also have a very lightweight feel to them - unlike some other brands which give your lips a plastic-y, cracked finish.

I feel that these can be layered [do not go overboard though!] unlike the MUR ones which crumble when you try to do so.

They last for AGES. 8+ hours of wear. The only thing is that these break down with oils. So it's better not to use these when you're going out for lunch, dinner etc or you'll end up with a sloppy mess. And you'll have to remove it completely and re-apply. [NB - do not be tempted to apply lipbalm or lipgloss on top, also]

Which brings me to this point ... you can only remove them by using oils. I normally use vegetable oil [yes, from my kitchen]. And then wipe the excess with a makeup wipe. Yes, they are waterproof.

#03 is a pinky nude. Love this shade because it does not wash me out.

#05

#07

#22 is one of my favourites. It is a very dark pink which I dare say leans on the plum-y side.

#25

#36 is the only one of these who has a kind of duo chromatic finish.

#38 is a really bright Barbie pink. It applied a bit streaky on me, however.

#37 is a super bright, highlighter orange. It is the brightest orange I have! I also had to take more time when applying this.

I highly recommend these - I'm sure that if you are a fan of matte lipsticks and liquid lip lacquers in general you'll love these.

Let me know if you do try them out <3
